PALISI Network Meeting Attendance Policies

By registering for any PALISI Network event, you acknowledge that you have read and agree to abide by all PALISI Network Meeting Attendance Policies outlined on this page, including policies related to confidentiality, membership eligibility, registration credits, cancellations, and code of conduct.

Confidentiality Policy

PALISI Network meetings often include discussion of unpublished research, sensitive institutional data, and draft materials. All attendees agree to maintain confidentiality regarding these discussions and materials. Information shared during meetings must not be distributed outside of the PALISI community—including through social media, screenshots, or recordings. Violations of this policy may result in suspension of PALISI membership privileges or restrictions on future meeting attendance.

Closed Meeting Policy

PALISI meetings are open exclusively to members of the PALISI Network—both in-person and virtual participants. Before attending a meeting, please ensure that your institution’s membership is active or that you are affiliated with an active member site.

Attendance by non-PALISI members is subject to approval by the PALISI Chair and must be requested a minimum of 30 days prior to the meeting.

If membership has not been obtained prior to attendance, an invoice for institutional membership will be issued following the event. For membership details or to renew, visit: https://www.palisi.org/join-renew-membership.

Registration and Credit Policy

Each meeting registration deducts credits from your institution’s PALISI account, based on the following structure:

- General Member (1 Credit) - Faculty members, physician or nurse investigators, nurse practitioners, physician assistants, and respiratory therapists

- Research Professional (½ Credit) - Research coordinators, research nurses, research assistants, and trainees

- Virtual Attendee (½ Credit)- Any member attending the meeting virtually.

If your site does not have available credits, please contact your Site Administrator to request additional credits. For help identifying your site administrator, email admin@palisi.org.

Registration DeadlinE

The registration deadline is 21 calendar days before the first day of the meeting. Cancellations received after this date are not eligible for a refund or credit, and registrations submitted after the deadline are non-refundable. However, registrations may be transferred to another individual within your organization.

To request a registration transfer or cancellation—or for any general questions—please contact admin@palisi.org. Please allow up to 5 business days for a response. Registrations submitted after the deadline may experience processing delays, and our ability to fulfill special accommodation requests could be limited.

Requests for special accommodations submitted after this date may also be limited based on venue availability.

Cancellation and Transfer Policy

Cancellations must be submitted in writing to admin@palisi.org no later than 21 calendar days before the first day of the meeting.

After the deadline, no refunds or credit returns will be issued.

However, registrations may be:

  • Transferred to another individual within your organization, or

  • Converted to a virtual registration, if applicable.

All transfers or virtual conversion requests must be submitted via email before the meeting begins.

If PALISI cancels or postpones a meeting due to circumstances beyond our control (e.g., natural disasters, strikes, public health emergencies, or governmental regulations), every effort will be made to reschedule.

PALISI’s liability is limited to the registration fee only. We are not responsible for travel, lodging, or other related costs incurred by participants.

Special Accommodations

PALISI is committed to providing an inclusive and accessible meeting experience. If you require accommodations such as dietary adjustments, lactation space, or accessibility assistance, please indicate this during registration or contact admin@palisi.org as soon as possible. Requests submitted after the registration deadline may be limited based on venue capacity.

Code of Conduct

PALISI meetings are professional, collaborative spaces that promote mutual respect and constructive exchange.
Harassment, discrimination, or disruptive behavior will not be tolerated and may result in removal from the event and loss of PALISI membership privileges.
