Jacques Lacroix Junior Investigator Award


Call for Applications
We will be awarding the inaugural Jacques Lacroix Junior Investigator Award at the Fall BloodNet/PALISI meeting on September 8, 2025 in Montreal. The award winner will have their travel expenses (airfare and hotel) covered for the meeting, will present their idea and/or progress of their research at the BloodNet session, and have a one-on-one mentoring session with Dr. Lacroix.
Eligibility:

Junior investigator (no more than 5 years from completion of fellowship). Trainees are encouraged to apply.

Conduct research that relates to the blood (ie. bleeding, thrombosis, hemostasis, immunology, transfusion medicine, and/or blood management)

Individuals from the following disciplines are encouraged to apply (pediatric critical care, pediatric hematology/oncology, transfusion medicine, pediatric anesthesiology, neonatology)

International applicants (those outside of the United States) are also encouraged to apply

Selection Process:
All applications will be reviewed by the executive committee of BloodNet and judged based on significance/innovation, approach, and investigator. One winner will be selected and notified by August 1.
