PALISI members play a vital role in shaping the future of the Network through participation in Executive and Scientific Committee Elections. Your vote helps guide the leadership, direction, and priorities of PALISI. We encourage all eligible members to review the information below and participate in the election process.
How Elections Work
PALISI Network Elections
PALISI Network elections are held every three years. Voting is conducted electronically, and each eligible member may cast one ballot. The Executive Director verifies voter eligibility based on attendance at prior network meetings.
Positions Open for Nomination & Election

Executive Committee Vice-Chair- Elected every three years by the full membership. Vice-Chair nominees must be currently serving on the EC. If there is only one candidate, then no vote will be held. If there is more than one candidate, then the full membership will vote. If no EC member chooses to be considered for Vice-Chair, nominations will be solicited from the Network membership as a whole.

Executive Committee At-Large Members (4 Total)

Two appointed by the Chair and approved by the majority vote of the EC

Two are nominated and elected by the full Network membership

Scientific Committee (SC) At-Large Members (4 Total)
Appointment or Automatic Succession (Not open for nomination or election)

Chair — Not elected; automatically assumed by the Vice-Chair at the conclusion of their term.

Past Chair — The outgoing Chair automatically transitions into this role.

Scientific Committee Chair — Automatically assumed by the SC Vice-Chair.

Scientific Committee Vice-Chair — Elected as an SC At-Large Member and appointed by the EC. Automatically assumes the SC Chair role after the Chair’s three-year term.

Treasurer — Appointed from the EC by the Chair and approved by majority vote of the EC.

Research Coordinator Representative (EC) — Appointed from the leadership of the Clinical Research Coordinator (CRC) subgroup (PALISI Coordinators).

Leadership Transition
Executive Committee leadership transitions occur during the six months following the announcement of election results. The first PALISI meeting after an election is co-organized by outgoing and incoming leadership to ensure continuity, a smooth transition, and preservation of institutional knowledge.
