PALISI members play a vital role in shaping the future of the Network through participation in Executive and Scientific Committee Elections. Your vote helps guide the leadership, direction, and priorities of PALISI. We encourage all eligible members to review the information below and participate in the election process.
FAQs
When were ballots sent?
Official election ballots were sent on Friday evening through the Election Buddy platform. Eligible voters received an email with the subject line: [PALISI Network] 2026 Election Official Ballot. The email was sent from: invitations@mail.electionbuddy.com. Please check your inbox, spam folder, junk folder, and institutional quarantine filters if you do not immediately see the email.
Who received a ballot?
Ballots were sent to PALISI members who attended three of the last six PALISI meetings, in accordance with PALISI voting eligibility requirements.

I think I am eligible but did not receive a ballot. What should I do?
If you believe you meet the eligibility requirement but did not receive a ballot, please email admin@palisi.org with the following information:

Your preferred email address

The PALISI meetings you attended
PALISI staff will verify your attendance history and provide login credentials if you are eligible to vote.

What positions are being voted on in this election?
Eligible members will vote on the following positions for the 2026–2029 term:
Executive Committee Vice-Chair

Members may cast one vote for one candidate, OR Abstain

The elected Vice-Chair will automatically transition into the Executive Committee Chair role at the completion of the term.
Executive Committee Members At-Large

Members may select up to two candidates
-
Must select at least one candidate OR choose abstain

Two candidates will be elected by the PALISI membership.
Scientific Committee Members

Members may:

Select up to three candidates

Must select at least one candidate OR choose abstain

Three candidates will be elected to the Scientific Committee.

Following the election,

One elected member will later be appointed as Scientific Committee Vice-Chair

Which leadership positions are not on the ballot?
Some positions are filled through automatic succession or appointment in accordance with the PALISI bylaws.
Automatic Leadership Transitions

Heidi Flori (2023–2026 Executive Committee Vice-Chair) will automatically become Executive Committee Chair.

Jennifer Muszynski (2023–2026 Scientific Committee Vice-Chair) will automatically become Scientific Committee Chair.

When does voting close?
Voting will close on Sunday, May 24 at 11:59 PM EST. Ballots submitted after this deadline will not be counted.
Can I share my ballot link with someone else?
No.Each ballot link and login credential is unique to the eligible voter who received it. Ballots should not be shared or forwarded.
Each eligible member may vote only once.
