About the event
Attention senior fellows and junior faculty - are you interested in developing your research skills from leading scientists in the field of pediatric critical care?
Join us for PALISI’s Clinical Research Course on September 4th, 2024 from 8am-5:30pm. This one-day intensive workshop is designed to expose junior investigators to key components of a research career and build connections in the PALISI community. Topics will include developing your research program, cultivating mentorship and collaborations, reviewing specific aims, discussing strategies for your professional success, and more!
Â
This year participants will be registered for one of two tracks. You will be asked to choose your track upon registration, and you will spend roughly half of the day within your track.
Â
- Collaborative Clinician-Researcher - for those interested in roles such as collaborative investigator or site PI with a local clinical research or quality improvement scholarly focus
- Independent Physician-Scientist*Â - for those aiming to lead independently funded research programs
If you are registering for the Independent Physician-Scientist track, you must submit a Specific Aims page for review during the afternoon Specific Aims and Elevator Pitch Workshop. If you are interested but do not feel
prepared to submit this sample work, please don't hesitate to reach out to the course directors for guidance.Â
Please note that repeat course participation is always welcome, especially if you've participated in the past and now have better-defined specific aims that you would like to review!
