Fall Meeting Highlights from the Chair!
Our Keynote speaker is Dr. Mark Peters from UK. Many of you know him already as a premier multicenter trialist in our subspecialty, esp in the wake of OxyPICU. He is also the PIs for the PIVOTAL Platform Trial and will be talking to us about how they created and launched this first platform trial in our field. He will also talk to us about the future of RCTs within our subspecialty.
The BloodNet Subgroup is again hosting the Jacques Lacroix Award Lifetime Achievement award. This year it will go to the esteemed and beloved Dr. Marie Steiner. We look forward to seeing her again at the fall meeting reception. Click here for her Complete (and impressive) bio!
We continue with our next the PALISI segment on “alternative funding sources” with a brief introduction to the SBIR/STTR process with Dr. Gwenyth Fischer. We will also host a one on one conversation with Nick Rydberg, Vice President of Engineering at Minnesota Health Solutions (MinnHealth) Corporation at the PRIMED subgroup. ALL members invited to attend PRIMED even if you are not a PRIMED subgroup member.
Learn more about the amazing PALISI subgroup content being investigated across our 16+ subgroups! We will again host a mix and mingle Subgroup Fair this time as part of the pre-meeting reception on Wed, Sept. 9. Each subgroup will have a small poster and subgroup lead available for you to talk to.

Fall 2026 marks the 24th anniversary of PALISI and with the new EC in place, it is time to re-evaluate and re-commit to PALISI's next 20+ years as a Network. We will start this process with PALISI ThinkTanks on Saturday Sept 12 and will ask attendees to break apart into groups to determine how to make PALISI a value add to each of the members, make our research most productive as securing necessary funding and complete multicenter investigations in the most impactful ways possible.
PALISI has and remains a grassroots organization. So please roll up your sleeves and come to participate!

Before heading to Minneapolis:

How to Confirm Your Registration
Prior to the start of the meeting, please take a moment to confirm that your Fall 2026 Meeting registration has been completed.
Check with your Site Administrator.
Your Site Administrator can confirm that your registration and the corresponding credit deduction are visible in the PALISI Member Portal.
Look for your Confirmation Email.
- If you registered before August 30, you should receive a registration confirmation email on September 2nd.
- If you register August 31-September 4, you should receive a registration confirmation email on September 5th.
- If you register after September 4th, you will need to follow the steps for walk-up registration.
Email PALISI Staff.
If you believe you registered but did not receive your confirmation, check your junk, spam, and quarantine folders. If you still cannot locate it, contact admin@palisi.org. Purchasing meeting credits does not automatically register an attendee. An individual meeting registration must also be completed through the PALISI Member Portal.
*Note: Walk-up Registrants may experience delays in checking in and attending desired sessions. Depending on meeting capacity, you may be seated in the overflow room or require other arrangements. PALISI's ability to accommodate special requests for late and walk-up registrants may be limited, so please register as soon as possible.
Check-In & Name Badges
PALISI check-in and badges are managed through Eventleaf. You can access Eventleaf through your confirmation email or the Meeting App using the email address associated with your meeting registration. You will not be granted access to the app if you are not registered for the meeting. Registration/Check In times are listed in the agenda.
Location: Registration Desk directly in front of the elevator bay on the 50th floor of the IDS Tower.
When you arrive, simply look up your name and print your badge, or scan the QR code on your Eventleaf ticket for faster check-in.
Pro Tips:
Avoid the Lines! Check-in is busiest prior to the Wednesday evening and Thursday morning sessions. Visit the registration desk earlier in the day to skip the line!
Confirm your registration information before arriving. Review/update your badge information in Eventleaf to avoid changes at the front desk.
Allow enough time to print your badge before your session.
Eventleaf Meeting App
The PALISI Fall 2026 Meeting App, powered by Eventleaf, is your go-to resource throughout the meeting. There will not be a printed agenda. Please access the Meeting App before arriving in Minneapolis.

Meeting Agenda
There will not be printed agendas for participants. Use the app for the latest schedule, room information, meeting resources, attendee connections, presenter interaction, and real-time notifications.

Virtual Meeting Access
Main Meeting
Virtual meeting access is included in all In-Person Registrations. In-Person Attendees are highly encouraged to access the virtual meetings if you need to leave early or miss any of the general sessions. Every attendee who wishes to access the PALISI Main Meeting virtually must complete the Zoom Verification Form. This is not meeting registration. The verification process allows PALISI to ensure that only properly registered attendees receive virtual meeting access.
Pro Tip: Verification is automatic and can be completed before the meeting, so save yourself the hassle and verify your access now!
Important: Anyone who completes Zoom verification without being properly registered for the Fall Meeting will be invoiced the 0.5-credit virtual meeting registration fee plus a $35 non-registration processing fee, regardless of how long they access the virtual meeting.
PALISI Group Meetings
Subgroups, Special Interest Groups (SIGs), and other PALISI Groups manage their own virtual meeting links. The PALISI Groups Virtual Access Sheet contains the most up-to-date information available to PALISI staff and will continue to be updated as information is received. If you have questions about a specific group or its virtual meeting access, please contact the designated group contact listed on the sheet directly.
Meeting Space & Maps
The PALISI Fall Meeting will take place in Windows at Marquette, located on the 50th floor of the IDS Tower, with panoramic views of downtown Minneapolis.
Getting to the Meeting Space
The meeting space is in the IDS Tower, not the hotel tower. From The Marquette Hotel, exit the hotel tower, cross the indoor Crystal Court Atrium, and use the designated 41–51 elevator bank to reach Windows at Marquette on the 50th floor. View Space Diagram
Driving?
IDS parking is available on Marquette Avenue, with the entrance between 7th and 8th Streets. PALISI does not validate parking. Please review the provided parking directions before arriving.

Stars Networking Lounge
When it is not being used for a scheduled meeting, Stars is your space to catch up on emails, meet with other attendees, have an informal meeting, or simply take a break between sessions. Stars will also host the Subgroup Fair and subgroup posters, which will remain available through the end of the meeting.

Continuing Medical Education (CME)
CME credit has been granted for eligible Fall 2026 Meeting activities. Sessions eligible for CME are marked with an asterisk (*) in the meeting agenda. A CME survey will be sent at the conclusion of the meeting. Please complete the survey and claim your CME promptly. Once the CME claim window closes, PALISI will not be able to process late claims or issue credit.
Pro Tip: Look for the (*) in the agenda to identify CME-eligible sessions.
CME Credit Information
This activity has been planned and implemented in accordance with the accreditation requirements and policies of the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME) through the joint providership of Michigan State Medical Society and Pediatric Acute Lung Injury and Sepsis Investigators Network. Troubleshooting & FAQs
I don't think I'm registered. What should I do?
If you register on or before September 4:
Register through the PALISI Member Portal. You will be considered a late registrant but will receive your meeting confirmation no later than September 5.
If you register September 5 or later:
You are considered a walk-up registrant and must complete both steps:
Walk Up Registration Process- ONLY ON SEPT 5 or LATER
Step 1: Register for the Fall Meeting through the PALISI Member Portal.
Step 2: Complete the appropriate Eventleaf Walk-Up Registration Form of the options below. This option must match the registration option you selected in the member portal.
Completing both required steps will trigger a confirmation email containing the information you need to participate in the meeting. Please note: Walk-up registration is subject to available meeting capacity, and PALISI's ability to accommodate special requests for walk-up attendees may be limited.
I can't access the Meeting App. What should I do?
Make sure you are using the same email address you used to register for the PALISI Fall Meeting. Eventleaf access is connected to the email address associated with your meeting registration.
I'm arriving late or need to leave early. Can I still participate?
Absolutely! The Fall Meeting is packed with valuable content, and we strongly encourage you to join the Main Meeting virtually for any sessions you cannot attend in person.All registered attendees have virtual access available. Complete the Zoom Verification Form in advance so you can easily transition to virtual participation if your travel schedule, arrival time, or departure time causes you to miss an in-person session.
I'm trying to access a specific subgroup meeting virtually. Where do I find the link?
Check the Subgroup Virtual Access Sheet for the most up-to-date information. Information is added as soon as it is made available to PALISI staff, and the sheet will be continually updated with what we know. If the information you need is not listed, please contact the designated contact person for that subgroup directly.
Can I use the Main Meeting Zoom link for a subgroup meeting?
No. Main Meeting and subgroup virtual access are separate. Subgroups manage their own links. Please use the Subgroup Virtual Access Sheet for subgroup-specific information.
Can I share my Zoom link with a colleague?
No. Virtual meeting access is limited to registered PALISI attendees. Anyone wishing to participate must complete the appropriate meeting registration and virtual access verification.
I completed Zoom verification but can't find my access information. What should I do?
First, check your junk, spam, and quarantine folders and make sure you completed verification using the email address associated with your PALISI registration.
Where can I find the most current agenda?
The Eventleaf Meeting App is your source for the most current agenda, session locations, meeting resources, and real-time updates. There will not be a printed agenda. Please remember that the agenda is subject to change.
I have questions about an invoice or accessing the Member Portal. Who should I contact?
For assistance with invoices, credits, payments, or Member Portal access, contact finance@palisi.org or visit PALISI staff during Administrative Office Hours.
I have a dietary or accessibility need. Who should I speak with?
PALISI staff have contacted all meeting registrants who request special accommodations before the meeting. If you need assistance, visit the Registration Desk for on-site assistance. Please remember that PALISI's ability to accommodate new requests from late or walk-up registrants may be limited.
I need the lactation space. Where is it?
A lactation space is available. Please visit the Registration Desk for access.
Where can I work, meet with someone, or take a break between sessions?
Visit the Stars Networking Lounge when it is not being used for a scheduled meeting. It's a great place to catch up on email, meet with colleagues, or rest between sessions.
Where are the Subgroup posters?
Subgroup posters will be displayed in the Stars Networking Lounge beginning with the Subgroup Fair and will remain available through the end of the meeting.
Which sessions qualify for CME?
CME-eligible activities are marked with an asterisk (*) in the meeting agenda.
I forgot to claim my CME. Can PALISI submit it later?
Please complete the CME survey and claim your credit as soon as it is distributed. Once the CME claim window closes, PALISI cannot process late CME claims.
